Patsy Kane

Chief Executive officer

Patsy Kane

Patsy worked at senior leadership level in schools for thirty years. She became head of Whalley Range High School in 2007 and executive head of a co-operative Trust in 2014. Patsy was a member of ASCL Council and Executive for nearly ten years, including chairing the Curriculum and Assessment Committee. She was awarded an OBE for service to education In the New Year’s Honours List 2019. Patsy is a Trustee of The Diana Award and The Co-operative Academies Trust.

DEPUTY CEO

Clare Cheetham

Clare, a former Primary Executive Headteacher, has taken up leadership roles in 6 different schools across 4 local authorities during her 24-year career in education and for the last 3 years has been leading on School to School Support and the implementation of a CPD Strategy in Oldham. She is also an independent educational consultant. Clare is an associate trustee of the Groundwork Trust which operates across GM.

SENIOR SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISER

Helen Hampson

Helen has worked in Education in 3 local authorities for 32 years. She has been a Senior leader and school improvement advisor since 1999  and is a former Primary Headteacher of two schools. She was previously the Chair of the Oldham Alliance of Primary Headteachers and Principals and  is also an independent educational consultant. 

She will now be working as part of the Oldham Learning Team continuing to build on the positive relationships with schools and  to develop school improvement.

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISER

Julie Stevens

With 26 years of experience in education, Julie has a proven track record of successful teaching and senior leadership, supporting school improvement to successful outcomes across a diverse range of schools in the full range of categories. For the last two years as part of her school improvement role in Oldham, she has continued to develop partnership working in the Primary sector and has led on proactively supporting schools through the Ofsted inspection process. 

Using this experience, she will extend and develop this role as a School Improvement Adviser for Oldham Learning.
