Lucy Wood is an educator and teacher trainer who has been working in challenging schools for almost 20 years. She has worked with Ofqual, the BBC, Teach First, Ark and Academies Enterprise Trust supporting teachers and school leaders to develop their practice, and led the development of the ground-breaking Science Mastery Programme at Ark Curriculum Plus.
Lucy is also a mum and step-mum to four small people, who have inspired her thinking about how children learn and how adults can help or hinder their success. Forever curious and never thinking she has all the answers, Lucy is looking forward to working alongside teachers in Oldham and beyond to build an even brighter future for our young people.
SENIOR SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISER
Helen has worked in Education in 3 local authorities for 32 years. She has been a Senior leader and school improvement advisor since 1999 and is a former Primary Headteacher of two schools. She was previously the Chair of the Oldham Alliance of Primary Headteachers and Principals and is also an independent educational consultant.
She will now be working as part of the Oldham Learning Team continuing to build on the positive relationships with schools and to develop school improvement.
SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISER
With 26 years of experience in education, Julie has a proven track record of successful teaching and senior leadership, supporting school improvement to successful outcomes across a diverse range of schools in the full range of categories. For the last two years as part of her school improvement role in Oldham, she has continued to develop partnership working in the Primary sector and has led on proactively supporting schools through the Ofsted inspection process.
Using this experience, she will extend and develop this role as a School Improvement Adviser for Oldham Learning.
